The new SATE office in Sant Antoni de Portmany starts its season on Sunday June 1st

The service will be open until September 30th and will be open to the public from Monday to Sunday from 9am to 2pm

The new SATE office in Sant Antoni de Portmany begins its service The new office of the Foreign Tourist Assistance Service (SATE) of Sant Antoni de Portmany, located on the seafront promenade of s'Arenal, will begin its service on Sunday 1st June and will be operational every day until 30 September with the aim of offering support to foreign visitors who need to resolve any incident during their stay in the municipality.

The delegate of the Government of the Balearic Islands, Alfonso Rodríguez, visited the new facilities today, accompanied by the mayor of Sant Antoni, Marcos Serra; the councillor for Public Safety, Neus Mateu; the colonel of the Civil Guard of the Balearic Islands, Alejandro Hernández; the island director of the General State Administration of Ibiza and Formentera, Raquel Guasch; the chief commander of the Civil Guard of Ibiza and Formentera, Juan Carlos González, and the chief of the Local Police of Sant Antoni, Alejandro Ponce. Season this Sunday 1 June.

The Directorate General of the Civil Guard and the Sant Antoni de Portmany Town Council have a collaboration agreement for the operation of this service in the municipality during the summer months. At this service point, citizens and visitors are offered an automatic translation service in the necessary language to ensure effective communication, improving service to foreign tourists and offering greater proximity and security.

The mayor of Sant Antoni de Portmany recalled that ‘this new space, shared between the Local Police and the Civil Guard, is located in a strategic area, closer to the tourist area, which will facilitate faster and more direct attention to tourists and residents, as it is in an enclave of great affluence during the summer months’. ‘We have improved the location and facilities of the office compared to the previous SATE, being a key point to ensure safety and provide care, information and support if necessary,’ explained Serra.

The Government delegate, Alfonso Rodríguez, thanked the Town Hall for the investment in these facilities. ‘It is a close, modern and prepared office that offers peace of mind to tourists who visit us and to us as a tourist destination, a guarantee of higher quality,’ said Rodriguez, who explained that ‘last year there were almost a thousand complaints, which shows that it is a necessary service’ and that it will be considered to expand "depending on the volume and evolution of complaints and the response capacity of the Guardia Civil with the increase in summer reinforcements.

The office will be open from June 1st to September 30 th and will be open to the public from Monday to Sunday, from 9am to 2pm.
