The Repsol Guide has awarded 15 new 'soletes' to establishments in the Balearic Islands for the summer season, primarily beach bars and outdoor venues.
The archipelago now has 201 establishments that have received this distinction. The establishments recognised this year are spread across the four islands, with Ibiza being particularly well represented.
The following restaurants have received a Solete in the largest of the Pitiusas islands: Chiringuito Pascual in Sant Joan de Labritja, Es Galliner in Sant Josep de Sa Talaia, La Finca de Can Suldat in Santa Eulàlia des Riu and La Margarita and Born in Ibiza.
In Mallorca, the recipients are Café Deià in Deià, Ses Golondrines in Manacor, and the SkyBar Restaurant, Hotel Almudaina and Santal in Palma. In Menorca, the Isabella Beach Club in Es Mercadal and Es Suís, Sa Lliga Maritim and S'Aturadeta Jardins in Maó have received a Solete. In Formentera, La Tortuga and Codigo Luna are both located in Sant Francesc.
With this twelfth edition of the «soletes» of the Repsol Guide, in which 260 chirnguitos and terraces have been distinguished, there are now almost 5,000 establishments with this recognition throughout Spain.
