The Civil Guard in Ibiza has arrested a 44-year-old Italian man in connection with an assault that took place in Cala D’Hort, Ibiza, on 28 July.
The Civil Guard’s Maritime Service in Ibiza conducted an investigation into an accident involving two boats that occurred in Ibiza waters last Wednesday. One of the boats was a 15-metre-long motorboat and the other was a small catamaran. A 52-year-old Spanish woman sailing on the catamaran suffered injuries of varying severity as a result of the collision.
The collision was caused by the motorboat, which was travelling at 30 knots and rammed the catamaran, causing it to sink. The woman is hospitalised in a serious but stable condition.
