The fight against illegal transportation in Ibiza is intensifying this summer. On Tuesday, Consell inspectors immobilised four vehicles at various checkpoints, according to Roberto Algaba, the island's director of transportation, who reported the news on social media.
Two of these were caught illegally transporting passengers, an offence carrying a fine of €15,000, as well as the immediate immobilisation of the vehicle. The other two vehicles were reported for renting without a permit, an offence that can result in fines ranging from €1,000 to €10,000.
