The first vice-president of the Consell d'Eivissa, Mariano Juan, announced at Thursday’s plenary session that work on the construction of the Cazadores roundabout, at the junction of the Santa Eulària, Sant Joan and Sant Rafel roads, will begin on 15 October. This will be the most important road project of the legislative term, valued at eight million euros, and will improve safety at one of the black spots on the island of Ibiza's road network.
On the other hand, the Minister for Social Welfare, Carolina Escandell, stated that they expect the 24-hour crisis centre for victims of gender-based violence to be up and running before the end of the year. Escandell explained that two companies, Intress and Arquisocial S.L., had submitted bids for the contract, with the former receiving the highest score.
The Minister for Sport, Salva Losa, also explained that the flooring at the Sa Blanca Dona sports centre has been replaced after it lifted up at the sides. Losa pointed out that the flooring in the hall was still under warranty and that athletes will be able to return to practising sport there next week.
