the fourth edition of Estrellas Contra el Cáncer (Stars Against Cancer), which premiered at the iconic Nassau Beach Club Ibiza this year. It was a magical evening, combining gastronomic excellence with solidarity, with one goal: supporting children with cancer and their families through the Association of Parents of Children with Cancer in the Balearic Islands (ASPANOB).
The Brisa de Portmany ball pagès troupe opened the event, providing a traditional note to kick off the aperitif. Guests enjoyed creations from the participating chefs, as well as special oyster, caviar and ham stations, setting an exclusive tone for the evening. Following the cocktail reception, guests took their seats and were welcomed by Nuria Moreno, who thanked Nassau Beach Club for their extraordinary efforts in preparing the venue despite the complications caused by rain in the preceding days. Moreno also expressed her excitement at reuniting with residents who support the cause year after year, as well as her joy at welcoming newcomers.
Together with his partner and the project’s co-founder, chef Óscar Molina, he introduced the Michelin-starred chefs who put the finishing touches to this unique charity dinner with their talent.
One of the most emotional moments of the evening came when Jaume Coll, president of Aspanob, took to the stage with Nuria Moreno to announce the new Aspanob 2025 ambassadors: chefs Víctor Martín and Luis Veira; Antoni Planells, editor of Grupo Prensa Pitiusa and businessman; Pablo Frías, representing Iberia; Duane Lineker, representing O Beach Ibiza; Juan Grau, representing Balfegó; and Cristian Braun, representing Nassau Beach Club.
Nuria Moreno emphasised the importance of sponsors and collaborators, reminding everyone that all ticket sale proceeds go to Aspanob thanks to their involvement.
During the dinner, a very special prize was raffled off: 100,000 Avios from Iberia, enough for a trip to iconic destinations such as New York or Japan.
The evening culminated in an emotional farewell address by Nuria Moreno to those present: ‘Ladies and gentlemen, enjoy yourselves and remember to give back to life everything it gives us. Thank you, and I look forward to seeing each and every one of you again next year.» Thus, the fourth edition of Estrellas Contra el Cáncer fulfilled its charitable mission and re-established itself as a key event in Ibiza’s gastronomic and social calendar.
