Kanye West has been at the centre of a new controversy. This was in Mallorca. It was over a non-payment of 400,000 euros. The debt stems from the rental of a luxury villa and a stay at a beauty clinic.
The American rapper travelled to Ibiza with his wife, Bianca Censori, and ten bodyguards. In addition to these unpaid bills, he also owes a Mallorcan restaurant 15,000 euros. According to Última Hora, the restaurant's managers said that the couple and their team had eaten there several times and that the bill totalled 15,000 euros, which had not yet been paid. They also expressed concern that West and his entourage were preparing to leave the island after spending a month there.
After checking that the rapper's bank transfer had not arrived, and seeing that he was about to leave the island, the local police of Palma were alerted and the case was passed on to the National Police due to the size of the non-payment. It was then discovered that the rapper had also failed to pay for the luxury villa and the beauty clinic.
The National Police have opened proceedings in case a crime of attempted fraud has been committed, although West's entourage assures that what happened is related to a problem with the bank transfer.
At the time of writing, West has finally repaid the restaurant, although he still owes money for the accommodation and the luxury clinic. West's entourage insists that the transfer will be made within two or three days and that everything will be cleared up.
