Constantin R., a German resident of Ibiza, contacted Periódico de Ibiza y Formentera to appeal to the public for help in finding a gold chain that belonged to his father. He received the chain during his confirmation at the age of 12, and his father passed away just two years ago, in 2023. When he died, Constantin inherited the gold chain, which features an image of the Virgin Mary.
According to Constantin, he went to DC-10 at around 6 p.m. last Monday. When he returned home between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m., he noticed that the chain was no longer around his neck.
Constantin, who has lived in Ibiza for three years and works in the housing sector, is now offering a reward of 3,000 euros for the return of the gold necklace that he received as a gift from his father and holds dear. The chain's economic value is far less than the reward offered. «It has great sentimental value to me,» he explained to Periódico de Ibiza y Formentera. «My father wore it from the age of 12 until he died; he never took it off for a day,» he told the newspaper.
The chain, which dates back to 1960, was not found during relevant searches of the discotheque's lost property section.
This is why this citizen wants to appeal to the public to recover it due to its enormous sentimental value. The reward, we remind you, is 3,000 for anyone who can return the chain to its owner.
