On Tuesday, the Ibiza Local Police carried out a check and inspection of caravans in different areas of the municipality. Specifically, they took action on Carrer Voluntariat, Carrer Venda des Coloms, Es Cubells, Venda de sa Punta, and Platja d'en Bossa.
The result was the identification of 14 caravans, which were inspected and marked for parking control, and six caravans removed from various locations. According to the police, it was the residents who reported these cases through the Green Line and social media.
It should be noted that caravans found without permission are already being fined under the law regulating vehicle entry to the island, which came into force at the beginning of June. The regulations stipulate that these vehicles cannot be in Ibiza unless they have a prior reservation at one of the five official campsites. An example of this is the caravan that was fined at the end of July, where, due to the area in which it was located, the penalties range from €10,000 to €30,000 for being in a rural area and from €1,000 to €10,000 for the quota mentioned in the law. In other words, the fine for this caravan could amount to €40,000.
