Technicians from the Balearic Institute of Nature (Ibanat) had to intervene in the early hours of Saturday morning in a forest fire in Can Llucia, located in Sant Joan. Forest firefighters responded to this small forest fire, which was declared extinguished at around 5.15 a.m., according to the Regional Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and the Environment.
Five firefighters with two trucks also helped out. They were alerted by neighbours over the phone and, as they pointed out, thanks to the lack of wind, they were able to act ‘quickly and effectively’.
