On Monday night, the body of a 66-year-old man was found in an advanced state of decomposition in a caravan in Sa Casilla, Sant Antoni. According to the Civil Guard, the body was found lying on the sofa in the caravan with no apparent signs of violence.
The incident was reported at around 10 p.m., and after an inspection, it was determined that the man may have been dead since last July. Neighbours in the area alerted the authorities to the incident after noticing that his vehicles had not been moved for some time and approaching the caravan. The man had been living in the caravan for five years.
Firefighters had to attend the scene, as ‘due to the size of the vehicle, its condition and the small size of the caravan, their assistance was required to remove the body,’ according to a statement issued on Tuesday by the Civil Guard.
It's not actually a camper van, but a motorhome.
