National Geographic Historia magazine is celebrating the second edition of the Historia Readers’ Awards. The awards recognise the dissemination and promotion of history, heritage and culture. Specifically, the walled city of Dalt Vila has been nominated as a finalist in the ‘Best Conservation of a Walled Historic Centre’ category. This category recognises town councils in walled Spanish cities or towns that have enhanced the value of their historic centres, making them an interesting and important route through which to explore a particular period in Spanish history.
The other finalists in this category are Besalú (Girona), Aínsa (Huesca), Trujillo (Cáceres), Ciudad Rodrigo (Salamanca) and Dalt Vila (Ibiza). Readers interested in voting for Ibiza can do so free of charge and without prior registration by visiting the magazine’s website: https://historia.nationalgeographic.com.es/temas/premios-historia.
