Ibiza has been crowned the favorite overseas destination for bachelorette parties among Britons, according to a recent survey published by the international travel magazine Locals Insider (https://localsinsider.com/). Benidorm also stands out, ranking third for both bachelor and bachelorette parties.
The survey, conducted among 2,000 adults in the United Kingdom, reveals that 13.6% of respondents chose Ibiza as the best option for celebrating a bachelorette party abroad. The Balearic island narrowly beat Amsterdam (13.5%) thanks to its world-famous nightlife and festive atmosphere.
For men, Amsterdam was the most popular destination for stag parties, with 19.4% of the vote, followed by Dublin (10.5%) and Benidorm (7.1%). Ibiza also features in this ranking, coming in fifth place with 6.4% of the vote.
Located on the Costa Blanca, Benidorm has established itself as one of the main destinations on the peninsula and is the third most popular choice for both men and women: 10% of women and 7.1% of men chose it for their pre-wedding celebrations.
Meanwhile, Dublin was the fourth most popular destination for hen parties (8.9%), while Marbella and Prague tied for fifth place with 5% each.
Despite the growing trend of travelling abroad for this type of celebration, 7% of British respondents said they would prefer to stay in the UK.
«The popularity of stag and hen parties abroad continues to grow, with European destinations offering a combination of partying, sunshine, and culture,« said Martin Danemaq, spokesperson for Locals Insider. «Ibiza and Benidorm have established themselves as destinations of choice for those seeking an unforgettable experience before the big day.»
The survey once again highlights the strong appeal of Spanish destinations among Britons, who continue to choose both mainland Spain and the Balearic Islands for their stag and hen dos.op.
