The Director of Transport for the Ibiza Council, Roberto Algaba, has published a new chapter in the fight against illegal taxi services in Ibiza on his social media accounts.
On this occasion, Algaba reported that the Council’s inspectors seized two vehicles. The owner of the first vehicle, a Mercedes Benz G-Class, with a market value of €150,000, was using it to sell mojitos, as well as operating as an unlicensed taxi driver, according to Algaba.
The second vehicle, an Opel Astra, was being driven without a rental licence.
Both vehicles have been taken to the municipal vehicle impound lot, and their owners will have to pay €15,000 if they wish to recover them.
‘The «mojito pirate» will have to pay €15,000 to recover his «MojitoCar»,’ Algaba wrote in the post.
