Ibiza Airport has launched an innovative circular economy initiative that allows umbrellas left behind by passengers at security checkpoints or check-in counters before leaving the island to be reused.
According to Aena, ‘these items are selected and, if they are in good condition, they are transferred to the baggage claim area’.
With this initiative, the airport offers arriving passengers the opportunity to pick up a free umbrella, promoting the reuse of resources and waste reduction.
