Residents of the Cas Mut neighbourhood in Ibiza complained about an illegal ‘macro party’ held in one of the area’s villas throughout Sunday. According to residents who contacted Periódico de Ibiza y Formentera, the property belongs to journalist Pepe Navarro, although the newspaper has not confirmed this.

Fed up with parties being held at this particular villa, the residents have repeatedly called both the Ibiza Local Police and the National Police. Both forces attended the scene, but the illegal party continued without any regard for the law once they left the area.
The illegal party that started at 7 a.m. on Sunday was still going strong as night falls. It’s an illegal after-party. They start when the nightclubs close. «Cars are constantly arriving,» says one of the neighbours. The area was plagued by unlicensed private hire vehicles that continuously drive people to and from the house, and the car parks are full to capacity. According to neighbours, people visibly affected by alcohol or other substances are wandering around the area near the house. The traffic congestion is so severe that one partygoer hit a parked van and fled the scene.

This is not the first time illegal parties have been held at this villa in Cas Mut, Ibiza. «There have been several, and people always go wild, breaking things in the street. Last time, they broke the electricity box downstairs. They’re pretty bad,» say some neighbours.

It should be noted that Ibiza is currently experiencing the closure of many of its main parties and nightclubs over the next two weeks, so illegal after-parties in villas could become more common at this time of year.
