Fishermen reported at around 12 noon on Thursday that half a shark had been found dead at the mouth of the port of Ibiza. According to the person who contacted Periódico de Ibiza y Formentera, the shark appears to be sectioned, with a clean cut and still appears to have fresh blood. It is a cañabota shark.
The fishermen who found it have reported the discovery, so the boat of the Ibiza port pilot has gone out to pick up the head, they have hooked it and towed the half shark to the docks. ‘It looks as if a propeller or some fisherman caught it and couldn't pull it up, cut it off and took the ‘good stuff’,’ says an eyewitness.
