On Thursday, a two-year-old boy was found dead in the swimming pool of the luxury villa that his parents had rented for their holiday in Sant Joan.
Family members found the child without breath and pulse, and called the emergency services. The emergency services instructed the family to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation, but this was unsuccessful.
Two ambulances were sent to the scene: a basic life support ambulance and an advanced life support ambulance. They tried to resuscitate the child for over an hour, but were unable to save him.
