Around 50 people were evacuated from Es Bol Nou beach (Sa Caleta) this Sunday afternoon due to the risk of landslides.
The local Sant Josep police force reminded people on social media that the beach had been completely closed on 26 April following technical reports from the Coastal Demarcation.
Despite the fence and signs in several languages, the area had to be evacuated again on Sunday afternoon.
The police have pointed out that landslides can occur without warning and cause serious accidents. Therefore, until the cliff stabilisation work is carried out, the beach cannot be used under any circumstances.
The Sant Josep Local Police have assured that they continue to identify and sanction people who do not comply with this rule.
